Sub Tuum Praesidium
We fly to thy patronage, O holy Mother of God; Despise not our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
Act of Consecration
My Queen and my Mother, I surrender wholly unto thee; and in token of my devotion, I dedicate unto thee this day mine eyes, mine ears, my mouth, my heart, and all my being, without reservation. Wherefore, good Mother, since I am thine, keep me, guard me, as thine own possession. Amen.

Archbishop Miller's Statement on the Lapu-Lapu Filipino Festival Tragedy
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ:
I was deeply saddened to hear of the tragic events that took place yesterday during the Lapu-Lapu Day celebration in Vancouver. What should have been a joyful gathering to honour Filipino heritage has been overshadowed by sorrow and shock.
The Filipino community is a vibrant and faith-filled part of our Archdiocese. In moments like this, your spirit of hope, resilience, and deep trust in God’s providence shines even amid darkness. I encourage all of us to come together in prayer, asking the Lord to pour out his mercy upon those affected and to grant strength to all who are carrying heavy hearts.
May our Blessed Mother intercede for us, bringing comfort and healing to Vancouver.
+ J. Michael Miller, CSB

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
O Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Walsingham, Mother of God and our most gentle Queen and Mother, look down in mercy upon us, our parish, our country, our homes, and our families, and upon all who greatly hope and trust in thy prayers. By thee it was that Jesus, our Saviour and hope, was given to the world; and He has given thee to us that we may hope still more. Plead for us your children, whom thou didst receive and accept at the foot of the Cross, O sorrowful Mother. Intercede for our separated brethren, that with us in the one true fold they may be united to the Chief Shepherd, the Vicar of thy Son. Pray for us all, dear Mother, that by faith, fruitful in good works, we all may be made worthy to see and praise God, together with thee in our heavenly home. Amen.
